Improving Literacy with Digital Tools

An essential component of fulfilling a child’s right to quality education is providing her or him with the means to learn how to read. When children in primary school have the opportunity to develop strong reading and literacy skills in their mother tongue, they are better equipped to succeed in school.

Smart4Kids is addressing this issue by creating a multi-platform digital application suite, which teaches children to read through activities and mini-stories in their native language.

Our suite can be localized for most languages. By offering a very inexpensive solution, we can address the needs of low income populations or small linguistic communities. We are currently developing a android app in Khmer, the language of Cambodia, that does not use a latin alphabet.
